The GSB Konkani Dictionary is growing at a steady pace.
Today it has 328 words.
Most of these words have been categorised semantically.

2006 is going to be an year for more studies esp dealing with linguistics.
ITRANS skills need updating too.
Also debating whether Devanagari is sufficient as a script to write down Amchigele words. It definitely is not. However it is definitely a lot better than the roman script.
Looks like 2006 is going to be an year of consolidation, a kind of 1st gear, before the project gathers steam.

The domain name www.savemylanguage.org is registered. The BETA version of the dictionary goes live with 20 GSB Konkani words and their corresponding meanings.

The following tasks were undertaken in the last 2 months:
1. Feasibility study of a website as a means of building a dictionary is undertaken.
2. A thorough study of the history of Konkani and the devanagari script. (And study of Welsh language revivalism in Wales)
3. ITRANS is chosen as the transliteration scheme for the project (instead of the more famous Harvard-Kyoto transliteration scheme)
4. Technology review involving the best and most cost effective solution. Technology study. Learned PHP.
5. Fuzzy translate BETA algorithm takes shape.
6. Website front end design done.
